My name is Nick Kinrade, I am 14 years old and live in Laxey. At the moment I am in Cobras Patrol of the best Scout Troop, 2nd Onchan Phoenix Troop. I have been a member since I came up from Cubs and Beavers. I have gained some proficiency badges and have got my BCU One Star kayaking award.

I am currently studying for 11 GCSE’s at King William’s College. My favourite lessons are Maths and German. I enjoy the Combined Cadet Force as it is quite similar to Scouts. I am in the RAF. The CCF gives me lots of opportunities to go on shooting trips, orienteering trips, or any other kind of expedition off the Island. I am also doing my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and hope to obtain all the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

My favourite sports are golf and football. I play golf every Tuesday and Sunday and have a handicap of twenty. I enjoy watching motor racing especially the T.T and Formula One.

I undertook the Chief Scout’s Challenge to have fun and to further my knowledge and increase my skills.
