My name is Andrew Galka, I am
15 years old and live in Douglas. I am currently Assistant Patrol
Leader of Panthers Patrol with the 2nd Onchan Scout Group. I
have been a member of the 2nd Onchan Scout Troop since 1991,
when I joined as a Beaver. I have since moved up through the
Group, to the Cubs and then into the Scouts.
I am currently studying for my
GCSE’s at St Ninian’s High School. Before I went
to St Ninian’s School I was educated at Ashley Hill, the
Buchan and King William’s College. At St Ninian’s
I am in the same year as the two James, and I am in James Ramsey’s
class.
In Scouts we do a wide range of
activities such as hiking, kayaking, abseiling and learning
various skills. We also play a lot of games like British Bulldogs
and Spot. Recently we had a ‘wet wide game’, which
I really enjoyed.
